Minna- The Provost of the College of Education in Minna, Prof. Haruna Faruk, said the 103 suspects caught working with fake NCE certificates purportedly issued by the college will be prosecuted.
Faruk said that the suspects were apprehended in Kwali Area Council.
He said that the names of the suspects will be published so that the public would know that they were never in Niger State College of Education.
The provost said the best way to succeed in life was only through hard work and sincerity.
According to him, only lazy and fraudulent persons resort to fraudulent practice to carry out their hideous act.
Faruk said that if incidents of fake certificates were not checked by organisations, ghost employees would have a field day occupying key positions at the detriment of qualified individuals.
He urged employers to be more careful and to check with institutions to authenticate certificates.
The provost further said that quality assurance mechanism had been put in place to conduct employment assessment visit to institutions that employ their graduates
Faruk said the institution had written to Area Council in FCT and Local Governments in Niger to forward data of the college graduates working with them for verification.
