"We are immediately setting up an Interim Emergency
Team on Evaluation and Reconstruction of Communities to mobilize and start work in
phases. While that is going, we already have a work plan for the

He said his administration will only need to expand the
group working on that and then change the focus to holding what we will call
Borno Reality and Prospects Summit which will have only one agenda and

Congress (APC) in the state will not get him carried away.
"Let me also say, that for me as leader of the APC and
reelected Governor of Borno State, this victory will not change me from being
the Kashim Shettima you all know. I am very much in constant reminder,
that power can be very dangerous to the soul of its beneficiary.
"From my experience, when one is in power and things go
his way in highly competitive elections, his first task is to fight his own
mentality and resist the slightest element of negative pride. Pride can be
positive when one protects and preserves his own honour and integrity. But
negative pride is when some thinks he is all in all, he is the
almighty and sole fixer within his environment."
Shettima has been declared the winner of Saturday's
governorship election, polling 649 913 while his main challenger, Gambo Lawan of
the People's Democratic Party received 34 771 votes.
