Abuja – The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)
has assured Nigerians of improved safety on local roads.
The Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, gave the assurance
after receiving National Productivity Order of Merit Award under the auspices
of the National Productivity Centre, Abuja.
Oyeyemi said the award was a morale booster that would
propel him to greater productivity.
He expressed gratitude to President Muhammad Buhari
for approving the award and promised that FRSC would more show improved productivity
in traffic management.
Oyeyemi said the agency would enhance rescue operations
and post crash care to bring succour to victims of road traffic crashes.

He expressed FRSC's commitment to creating safer road
“This award is a testimony to the contributions we have
made to national productivity, and is well appreciated," Oyeyemi said.
"Nigerians should expect improved productivity from
the FRSC in our commitment to saving more lives and creating greater sanity on
the nation’s highways."
Among those that received the merit awards for various
contributions to productivity were Engineer Sale Dunoma of the Federal Airport
Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Uwemedimo Edet Asomugha of the Federal Ministry of
Education and Marcus Danladi of the Nigeria Police Force.
Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Labour and
Productivity, Dr Clement Illoh, represented Buhari at the event. - CAJ News
