A High Court sitting in Yola, the Adamawa state capital has restrained the state House of Assembly from serving impeachment notice on Governor Murtala Nyako and and his deputy, Bala Ngilari, This Day reports.
The governor, had through his counsel, Jerry Owen, applied to the court to restrain the state assembly members from carrying on the impeachment or taking further actions on the matter.
The Assembly, it would be recalled had served a notice of impeachment on Nyako and his deputy, Ngilari on Wednesday, June 18.
