Dangote fights poverty in Adamawa

Abuja - The Dangote Foundation has pledged N15 million for disbursement to vulnerable groups in the Adamawa State.

More than 31 500 people from each of the 21 local government areas in the state are set to benefit from the micro-finance grant.

The representative of the Foundation, Musa Bala, disclosed the organisation's commitment  while monitoring the disbursement exercise to the beneficiaries of the scheme in Yola.

Initially, according to him, 250 youths and 1 000 women have benefited from the scheme.

Musa appealed to the beneficiaries of the grant to make the best use of the fund to enable them sustain themselves.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke at the venue of the disbursement expressed gratitude to the Dangote Foundation for the gesture and appealed to other wealthy Nigerians to emulate Dangote and in alleviate poverty in the country.
