Lagos – An investigation has begun by the Lagos State Police Command into the possible murder of a man whose decomposing corpse was found in his Lagos apartment, AllAfrica reports.
A security guard in the apartment building and a woman have been arrested in connection with discovering the body.
The deceased man was identified as Sylvanus Ikelie Okoye, aged 39, from Anambra State, and worked as a trader in Lagos State. He was last seen two weeks before his discovery.
His body was found with a rope tied to his neck, and pestle and knife next to his bed, which is suspected to be what was used to murder him.
Okoye’s brother urged police to investigate the cause of death and find the perpetrators of the crime.
