Abuja - Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Air Marshal Alex Sabundu Bedeh, has cleared the air on his initial comment that the Boko Haram insurgency will end in April, Saharareporters reports.
Badeh said on January 20 during a military ceremony that the Boko Haram attacks in the north will be brought to an end before the end of April.
The statement generated a lot comments from the public as terrorist attacks in states under the emergency rule, Adamawa, Yobe and Borno, have increased.
The military explained that the comment made by the defence chief was to motivate the military personnel sent to the troubled states in doing their best in ensuring that the insurgency is brought to an end on time.
