Delta - A 37-year-old man has survived after trying to
commit suicide by drinking six sachets of rat poison, Leadership reported.
The man who is a student from the Delta State University
attempted to kill himself over a failed relationship. The man was due to get
married but his fiance broke the wedding off.

The victim was rescued at a T-Junction by police who were
patrolling the area and found his lifeless body on the ground gasping for breath
in the early hours of the morning.
Police recovered a letter he had written, stating he was
heartbroken and he would rather die than live with the rejection.
The six sachets of rat poison were also recovered next to
him on the ground.
