Abuja - The Transition Monitoring Group (TMG) has suspended a member of its Coordinating Committee, Engineer Prosper Okafor, over various acts capable of bringing the organisation into disrepute.
According to the suspension letter, the group described Okafor’s action, which saw him disrupt the group Quick Training in Abuja using armed policemen, as unacceptable behavior warranting appropriate sanction.
TMG noted the alleged flagrant flouting of the pledge of neutrality and code of conduct of the group Quick Count project amounted to a grave misdeed, which warranted the suspension .

“The Exco considered your threatening, aggressive and violent behaviour during your invasion of Quick Count training workshop with armed policemen in Abuja on October 21st, 2014 as a calculated attempt to seriously impair and jeopardize the progress of TMG and Quick Count project" read the letter.
The group stressed that the suspension was to allow for a thorough and full investigation of all allegation against Okafor and his organizations.
"Further action would be taken by the Coordinating Committee, just as the suspended member would be given the opportunity to respond during further investigation."
