The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said the fact that he asked the opposition in the state to forgive him does not make him a coward, Punch reports.
Fayose, who has been in a running battle with 19 members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state house of assembly, said he asked for forgiveness in order to move the state forward.

The governor spoke on Sunday at the thanksgiving service organised for him at the Cathedral Church of Emmanuel, Anglican Communion, Ado Ekiti, to celebrate his electoral victory at the Supreme Court.
The lwamkers had directed state Chief Judge Ayodeji Daramola to institute a panel of enquiry to investigate Governor Ayo Fayose over allegations of gross misconduct.
