Driver killed, OAU lecturer abducted in Ekiti

Ekiti - The driver of a lecturer of the Obafemi Awolowo University,  Ile Ife, Dr. Femi Omisore, was killed while he was abducted by unknown gunmen on Friday evening in Ekiti State, Punch reports.

Omisore, a lecturer at the Department of Environmental Design Management of OAU, was abducted in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, on his way to attend the ceremony.

The driver was said to have been shot dead by the gunmen for allegedly refusing to stop while they were on their trail.

The Chairmen of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, OAU chapter, Dr. Caleb Aborisade, and Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree  chapter, Dotun Omisore confirmed the incident.
