Abuja - Former Governor of Bayelsa, Timipre Sylva, has
been arraigned by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission of fraud, Punch
Sylva stood before a Federal High Court in Abuja for alleged
fraud amounting to N2.45 billion of which was all accumulated during his reign
as governor between 2009 and 2010.

However, Sylva has pleaded not guilty to all six counts that
have been set against him when he was arraigned before.
He has also been alleged of carrying the offence with an
unnamed person who is still at large.
His trial will commence on May 25 as the court will grant
him bail only if he brings a man he is accused with to court.
