EFCC issues arrest warrant on businessman

Abuja - The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Olabode Jacob Obayomi, owner of Standard Chartered Securities Limited Abuja and Blue-Chip Securities Limited Lagos, wanted.

This was contained in a press statement by Wilson Uwujaren Head, Media and Publicity of the anti-graft agency over the weekend.

“The public is hereby notified that Olabode Jacob O Obayomi, the owner of Standard Chartered Securities Limited of 116-118, Lagos House, Central Area, Garki, Abuja; Blue-Chip Securities Limited on 35 Marina Street, Lagos and 29 Iwo road, Ibadan  is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC),” Uwujaren stated.

He said Obayomi is wanted in connection with a case of Criminal Conspiracy, Diversion of Public Funds and Breach of trust involving the unauthorized sale of over N251 million worth of stock belonging to Ebonyi State Government.

Uwujaren described Obayomi as Dark complexioned, 45 years old, speaks Yoruba and English fluently. 

He said his last known address was Oke-Ero, Aiyedun Area of Kwara State.

He added that anybody with useful information as to his whereabouts should contact the commission offices in Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt and Abuja.
