Kano - The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday in Kano, urged Nigerians to support ongoing anti-corruption campaign by various government agencies in the country, to ensure its success.
Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Lamorde, made the call at the opening of a one-day workshop on "Economic Crimes’’ organised by the commission for journalists in the North-West zone.
Lamorde was represented at the occasion by Osita Nwaja, the Deputy Director in charge of Public Affairs in the commission.
He said that the commission was aware of the danger which the wave of insurgency and cross-border crimes posed to the collective destiny of Nigerians.
Lamorde stated that the workshop was organised in view of the importance the commission attached to the role of the media in the fight against corruption and economic crimes.
