Edo - The Edo State has floated another seminar for senior and middle level officers in government office to boost service delivery.
In a message delivered by the Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Establishments, Training and Management Services, Alfred Omorogbe Olaye, the Head of Service, Igbaekemeh Jerry Obazele enjoined the participants to actively participate in the seminar.
The Head of Service posited that the organization of the seminar was borne out of the need to equip the participants with the relevant techniques which could aid the beneficiaries in harnessing the potential of their subordinates.
“This has become imperative as it has been observed that some officers lack the relevant techniques for supervising and harnessing the great potentials that abound in their subordinate officers,” he said.
He reiterated the commitment of the State Government in the training and retraining of all categories of public officers which was anchored in the belief that only a sound person could effectively and efficiently discharge assigned duties.
Obazele expressed gratitude to the State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, for his benevolence towards the public service in ensuring that the training of civil services was given top priority as much as salaries and allowances which he said were promptly paid.
