Ado-Ekiti - The Ekiti State Government says it will renovate 164 government hospitals in the state in the next 11 months.The state commissioner for Health, Prof. Olusola Fasubaa, disclosed this on Firday at a stakeholders meeting in Ekiti.Fasubaa, who lamented the dilapidated state of the hospitals, said most of them were built about 30 years ago.The commissioner directed Chief Medical Directors (CMD) of the affected hospitals to submit evaluation report to enable government capture them in its financial plan for next year's budget.He called on the people of the affected communities to live up to their responsibility by protecting the public properties in their vicinity.The commissioner said the host communities should learn to play an integral role in planning and execution of the projects as well as the maintenance of facilities when completed.- NAN
