Ekiti - Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has apologised to primary school teachers following the mix-up in the payment of their September salary.
He is hopeful the educators will be paid by Wednesday.
Fayose said he took full responsibility as the head of the state despite the cause of the problem emanating from State Accountant General’s office.
“I want to apologise for the inconsistency and problems encountered in crediting the accounts of some primary school teachers, it was after my broadcast few days back that I got a lot of text messages from some teachers that were affected. I sincerely want to apologise,” said the governor.
He said he had gotten to the root of the matter.
