El-Rufai resumes demolition exercise in Kaduna

Kaduna - Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai on Sunday resumed his demolition exercise with demolition of shops around popular Printers Village and Government Secondary School, Doka in Kaduna North Local Government Area of the state, Nigeria Pilot reports.

About 200 shops around the Government School on Muri Road, by Lagos Street, were destroyed.

Some of the shop owners were seen trying to rescue and recover some of their properties from the demolished buildings.

It was gathered that the demolition exercise was carried out on shops around Maiduguri Road and popular Obalende area in Kaduna North Local Government Area of the state.

El-Rufai, after a court order restraining him from continuing with the exercise since August, had paused only to resume the exercise on Sunday.
