Abuja - Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nasir El-rufai has been released after being interrogated for 15 hours by the Department of State Security Services (SSS), Premium Times reports.
El-rufai voluntarily walked into the SSS headquarters in Abuja at about 9 a.m on Monday, three days after the SSS invited him for interrogation over a comment he made about the 2015 general elections.
Officials of the security department had visited his residence in Abuja but did not meet him after it was learnt he went to pick up his kids in school.
The former minister was accompanied to the SSS headquarters by Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, Senator Chris Ngige and some other members of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
