Abuja - Power firms in the country have shown their displeasure at recently slashed electricity tariff by 50% as announced by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, Punch reports.
The Discos had anticipated recouping their Aggregate Technical, Commercial and Collection losses from consumers based on the provisions of the Multi Year Tariff Order 2.1.

The reduction will be taking effect end of March, which comes after several complaints about the increasing price of electricity in January.
Chairman of NERC, Sam Amadi, announced the review in Abuja, expressing that something needed to be done after industrial and commercial consumers had petitioned about the tariffs of electricity.
