Maiduguri - Inuwa Bwala, the former Borno Commissioner for Information, who was removed from office recently, said on Monday that he would return to journalism, a profession he practised before his appointment.
Bwala said this in Maiduguri while handing over the affairs of the ministry to the Permanent Secretary, Abba Fugu.
"I am going back to my profession as a journalist. I am going to take full charge as the Chairman of the National Trail Newspapers which I founded some time ago," he said.
Bwala expressed gratitude to Governor Kashim Shettima for giving him the opportunity to serve in his cabinet.
He also thanked the staff of the ministry for their support and understanding during his tenure.
Bwala was dropped from the State Executive Council by Governor Shettima on Friday and no reason was given for the decision.
