Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has directed ministries, departments, and agencies to suspend all ongoing recruitment exercise, Premium Timesreports.
The federal government said the cancellation is as a result of the tragedy recorded during the recruitment exercise by the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS in which about 18 applicants lost their lives on Saturday.
The government, however, exempted the military and the police from the cancellation.
The federal government has also offered automatic employments to the families and victims of the stampede across the country.
