Lagos - Lagos lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) has faulted the sack of the former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Suleiman Abba by President Goodluck Jonathan, reports The Nation.
He described President Jonathan’s action as illegal and unconstitutional.
He stated that Abba’s removal contravened section 216 (2) of the 1999 Constitution, which states that before removing the IG form office, the President shall consult the Nigeria Police Council.

He added that since the council, whose members include the 36 State Governors, was not consulted, Abba’s sack was null and void.
