Lagos - Femi Fani-Kayode, former aviation minister, has been under fire lately for comments he wrote in his latest opinion piece in response to accusations that he is a tribalist, Osun Defender reports.
Fani-Kayode listed three women from the South East of the country who he has had ‘long-standing and intimate relationships’ with, namely Chioma Anasoh, Adaobi Uchegbu and Bianca Onoh to illustrate the point that he is not a tribalist.
He apologised for his comments and explained that he was misquoted and did not mean to allude that he had sexual relations with them, maintaining that he was referring to his friendship with the three women. Fani-Kayode also reiterated that it was inappropriate for him to include their names in his essay.
The references to the three women have since been removed from the essay.
