Lagos - The bill banning smoking in public places in Lagos state has been approved by Governor Babatunde Fashola, PM News reports.
The bill was signed into law by the governor on Monday, and places a fine of N10 000 and a three month prison sentence as punishment for offenders.
The law prohibits residents of the state from smoking in public places such as schools, buses,hospitals, public toilets, restaurants amongst others.
