Lagos - Property worth millions of naira was on Wednesday destroyed in an early morning fire that razed an extension of the Christ Embassy Church, Billings Way, Ikeja, Lagos, Punch reports.
The fire, which lasted several hours, started from the refuse being burnt near some containers used as storage facility within the church premises.

Lagos Director of Safety and Fire Services, Rasaq Fadipe, said there was a distress call at about 5am, adding that two fire trucks were immediately deployed from Alausa station to the scene.
He said four containers that later caught fire had various electrical appliances, including pumping machines and furniture.
