Lagos - Business activities were on Wednesday stalled at a branch of one of the commercial banks located at Ijaiye, a suburb of Lagos, after fire ravaged its automated teller machine (ATM) gallery.
The fire which also gutted the right wing of the bank's administrative block was said to have started at about 7 am.
A source at the bank who pleaded anonymity told the media that no lives were lost in the fire.
According to the source, a detachment from the Lagos State Fire Service responded on time and brought the fire under control.
Meanwhile, the bank has directed its customers to use other branches for their transactions following the temporary closure of the branch.
