Abuja - Former governor of Borno State, Modu Sheriff, is about to be declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Premium Times reports.
The commission said Sheriff will be declared wanted for his inability to appear before it after being invited on Thursday for questioning ?on? allegations ?of misappropriation, embezzlement of funds and abuse of office while he was governor.

The reason why he was being invited is still not clear but it was gathered that the investigation is related with allegations that parts of the N300billion his administration received from the Federation Account between 2003 and 2011 may not have been judiciously spent.
