Abuja - Former Vice President Namadi Sambo is recovering in the United States after undergoing a surgery to save his leg from amputation, reports The Nation.
Before the surgery, Sambo walked with a limp as a result of a previous car accident.
Sambo visited or consulted several hospitals in the U.S. before he was admitted by a Washington DC-area hospital for an extensive ligament reconstructive surgery.

He had the operation in August.
Sambo was unable to walk for some weeks due to the nature of the surgery.
He is currently recuperating in Washington.
