Lagos - Alacatel-Lucent, the French global telecommunications equipment company, has appointed prominent industry executive, Richard Edet, to lead its operations in Nigeria.
The appointment is with immediate effect.
As Country Senior Officer and Managing Director for Nigeria, Edet has assumed overall responsibility for managing day-to-day operations, as well as taking the lead on strategic business directions for Alcatel-Lucent in the country.
Based in Lagos, Edet will report to Amr El-Leithy, President of Alcatel-Lucent’s activities in the Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

El-Leithy welcomed Edet to his new position.

Edet brings to Alcatel-Lucent extensive experience within the IT sector, having previously held key management positions in various IT companies including SAP Africa, Cisco and Microsoft.
