Abuja — The resumption ultimatum given by the federal government to the Academic Staff Union of Universities ( ASUU) has been cancelled, Vanguard reports
The federal government decided not to enforce the “go back to class or lose their jobs” order, because it had recorded substantial compliance to the order.
Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Public Affairs, Dr Doyin Okupe said that the ultimatum was a last resort.
He revealed that many highly placed Nigerians, labour unions and royal fathers had asked the federal government to cancel the ultimatum.
