Abuja – Son of former head of State, Mohammed Abacha will be tried for theft at an Abuja High Court, according to Information Nigeria.
A Supreme Court has unanimously decided on Friday that the son of late General Sani Abacha, must face the 123 count criminal charges have been brought against him by the Federal Government of Nigeria, as he is in possession of stolen properties belonging to the government.
The theft is believed to have been committed by his father while in power.
Mohammed Abacha had previously lost an appeal to stop the trial at the Court of Appeal before approaching the Supreme Court.
