Abuja - Guatemala has sent condolences and pledged solidarity with Nigeria over the recent bombing at Nyanya Station.
Ambassador to Nigeria, Acislo Vallandares, Molina conveyed the message at the presentation of his letter of credence to President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja recently.
He said his country was confident that Nigeria would overcome its security challenges.
The envoy also expressed his country’s gratitude to Nigeria for supporting the candidature and appointment of Guatemala’s Jose Orive as the Executive Director of the International Sugar Organization.
On Monday last week, more than 70 people were killed following a bomb blast at the busy commuter station outside Abuja.
The blast has been blamed on the notorious Boko Haram sect whose outlawed activities have killed more than 1 500 this year.
