Abuja - The Governors of Lagos and Osun States are among the top speakers expected to attend the Youth Summit the Edo State Government will hold on Saturday.
In a statement, the office of the Edo State Governor, Peter Okhiria, confirmed Governors Babatunde Fashola and Rauf Aregbesola respectively would grace the event scheduled for Imaguero College Hall in Benin City.
The event will be held under the theme “Nigerian Youth: Defining the Issues and Setting Agenda for the Future.”
Alongside the three governors, other guest speakers expected at the summit are Abdulwaheed Omar, the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and
Peter Esele, ex-President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Toyosi Akerele, the Chief Executive Officer of ARISE as well as Prof. Pat Utomi and Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin.
Youth organizations, civil society groups, student Union leaders and other youth stakeholders would also attend.
Meanwhile, a New Year Musical Concert will also be held on Saturday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
The show will feature such artists as WizKid, Wande Coal, Eedris Abdulkareem, Timaya, Sir Victor Uwaifo, Osayomore Joseph, K-Cee, Harry Song and Group, Sleazy E, Terry G and other top music stars and comedians including Basket Mouth, I Go Dye, I Go Save, Gordons and Buchi.
