Abuja - Unknown gunmen in military uniform have killed more than 25 people in Ndo-Yaku village of Wukari Local Government Council in Taraba State.
The attack occurred barely few hours after the Jukun women from the southern parts of the state domiciling in the Federal Capital Territory stormed the premises of the Africa Independent Television (AIT) to protest the killings going on in the state.
Immediate past President of the Jukun Youth of Vision, Wukari, Barrister Luka Agbu, bemoaned the ongoing attacks.
"We don't know what the Jukun people have done that warrant these killings," he said.
He believed the attackers are militias hired into the state to reduce the population of the Jukun.
"Because it is only the Jukun that they concentrate on, and as am talking to you now, apart from the killings, several houses were as well burnt down completely."
When contacted, the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) Joseph Kwaji, said he was unaware of the attacks.
"In fact, I am still waiting to hear from the Divisional Police Officer," he said.
