Jalingo – Tapga village in the Ibi local government area of Taraba State were attacked and homes were burnt down by attackers from Plateau State, AllAfrica reports.
The attackers, who came from the neighbouring village of Tarok in the Latong South of Plateau State, attacked the villagers with weapons with forced them to flee into the bushes, burnt down about 100 homes, and took all their property.
Nobody was killed in the attack but four people were taken hostage, and two later released. The other two’s whereabouts are still unknown.
