Maiduguri - The Joint Task Force (JTF) on Operation Restore Order (ORO) on Thursday paraded 10 suspected armed robbers arrested in Maiduguri.
The JTF's Spokesman, Lt.Col. Sagir Musa, who paraded the suspects, said that they were arrested following a raid on their hideouts.
"Eight of the suspects were arrested in Muna suburb following intelligence reports. The remaining two were arrested in GRA in similar circumstances," Musa said.
He said that the suspects were believed to be responsible for several robberies in the state capital.
"When we received intelligence reports on their activities we decided to carry out a raid in their hideout.
"We are going to screen them and hand them over to the police after completing our investigations," he said.
He said that the JTF had also handed over two stolen vehicles to their owners after recovering them from robbers in different locations in Maiduguri.
"One of the vehicles, a Toyota highlander jeep, was reportedly snatched in Pompomari, while the other Honda Hala car was snatched during a bank robbery in Adamawa State."
