Lt. Eli Lazarus, JTF spokesman, who issued a statement on Wednesday, which was made available to the News Agency Nigeria (NAN), said the JTF was attacked while on search of a suspected hideout in Angwan Jaji in Potiskum.
"In the process of searching the area, Improved Explosive Devices (IED) were thrown at our men."
He said the casualty figure was not immediately available as at the time of issuing the statement.
