Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan has berated North-Western state governors for refusing to sponsor Christians going on pilgrimage to Jerusalem in their respective states, Premium Timesreports.
Jonathan made the accusation when a delegation of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs led by its President, the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, and the Secretary General, Ishaq Oloyede paid him a visit in Abuja on Wednesday.
The president said the governors of Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Kano, Jigawa and Kaduna are being to unfair to the Christians in their respective states by denying them the opportunity to go Jerusalem on pilgrimage.
