Jonathan congratulates Oshiomhole at 60

04 April 2013, 10:09

Abuja - President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday congratulated the Edo Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, on the governor's 60th birthday on April 4.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati.

In a letter to the governor, Jonathan said that Oshiomhole had lived a remarkable and eventful life in trade unionism, politics and governance at the highest levels, with the common thread of the ideals of unyielding rectitude, selfless service and unwavering commitment to the welfare and well-being of the common man.

The president said that Nigeria needed the re-commitment of ``men and women of goodwill and committed patriots like you in our quest for national transformation and entrenchment of peace and stability''.

Jonathan said he was confident that Oshiomhole, ``can always be counted upon to continue to give off yourself in the national interest’'.

He wished him many more years of God’s abundance and personal fulfilment.
