Abuja - President, Goodluck Jonathan, denied reports the government planned to move the Federal University of Petroleum Resource Effurun (FUPRE) from the Delta State.
Jonathan urged a delegation of Urhobo community leaders to ignore such reports as they were baseless and untrue.
The Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU), led by its President-General, Major-General Patrick Aziza, had sought an audience with Jonathan amid such rumours.
It had been reported the institution would be moved to Ugbomro,Uvwie Local Government Area as the current site was temporary.
FUPRE was established and approved by the Federal Executive Council meeting in 2007 and admitted its first set of undergraduates in 2008.
