Katsina - President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday inspected the 250-bed capacity orthopedic hospital constructed by the Katsina State Government.
Jonathan was conducted round the hospital by Governor Ibrahim Shema and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr Muhammad Qabasiyyu.
The inspection was part of activities to mark the President’s two-day working visit to the state.
Qabasiyyu said that the hospital was the first of its kind to be constructed by any state government in the Northern part of country.
He said that most of the required equipment for the hospital had been installed, adding that the facility would also render cardiac and general medicine services.
Shema said that his administration would continue to construct more health facilities to improve health care delivery in the state.
