Kaduna - Gov. Muktar Yero of Kaduna State on Tuesday said the state government would provide artificial limbs to children who suffered electric shocks in Kaduna.
Five people, comprising an adult and four children, suffered from shocks following an electrical fault in Kakuri area, Kaduna on Thursday.
Yero made the promise during a visit to the victims at St. Geralds Catholic Hospital and Gwamna Awan General hospital, Kakuri, Kaduna.
The governor also assured the parents and relations of the victims that the state government would settle their medical bills.
Conducting the governor to the victims, the chairman of Kaduna South Local Government area, Malam Bala Idris, said the incidence happened on Thursday following an electrical fault.
Idris said the victims, Mr. Dogara Ishaya and his son, were receiving treatment at Gwamna Awan hospital and three other children were at St. Gerald's Catholic hospital.
The Chairman said one of the children receiving treatment at the St. Gerald's Catholic hospital lost both arms, while the other lost one and the last sustained serious injuries.
