Kaduna - The Kaduna State Primary Health Care Agency on Monday said it would immunise 3.4 million children during the on-going polio immunisation.
Its Executive Secretary, Dr Sufiyan Babale, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview in Kaduna that the exercise had fully commenced in all the 23 local government areas of the state.
He said the agency would monitor the programme to ensure that no child was left out.
Babale also said that efforts had been made to address concerns of parents and other issues of misconception on the polio vaccine.
The executive secretary said the agency had taken steps to ensure the eradication of the polio virus in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 15 new cases of the wild polio virus were recorded in the state in 2012.
