Kano Govt. distributes drugs worth N6m to LGAs

Kano - The Kano State Government’s Drug Revolving Fund (DRF), has distributed drugs worth six million naira to its 44 Local Government Areas.

This is contained in a statement signed by Public Relations Officer, state Ministry of Health, Malam Isma’il Gwammaja, in Kano on Wednesday.

It said that while distributing the drugs, the state Commissioner for health, Dr. Kabir Getso, urged beneficiaries to make effective use of them.

It added that the commissioner, however, warned that the drugs, which included simple analgesic at affordable prices, were meant for daily needs, and should not be kept in stores.

The statement added that Getso also distributed certificates to Cold Chain Officers from the local governments who attended a 3-day training on maintenance and preservation of vaccines.

"The commissioner further charged the staff of the Primary Health Care Management Board and that of the State Agency for the Control of Aids (SACA), to meet up to their demanding work."
