Abuja - The Kano State Government has directed the Private and Voluntary Schools Board to close down the Hassan Ibrahim Gwarzo Boys College with immediate effect over recent reports of sodomy.
Usman Bello, the government spokesperson, said government had also set up 14-member committee to probe the matter.

The committee is expected to submit their report under within two weeks.
It was reported earlier this week some students of the school were reported to have been sexually abused by unknown perpetrators.
But the proprietor of the school, Prof. Ibrahim Ayagi, described the reports as “work of some mischief makers, who were determined to destroy the good image of the school.”
