Key police workshop on in Abuja

Abuja - A capacity-building workshop is ongoing at the International Peace Keeping Training Centre at the Force Headquarters Abuja.

The Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase has flagged off the event that is poised to benefit the Nigeria Police Medical Services (NPMS).

“The workshop is aimed at strengthening the Primary health care delivery service in the NPMS," Emmanuel Ojukwu Force Public Relations Officer.

The Acting IGP remarked that the programme was strategic owing to the critical importance of a healthy Police Force, in the realization of its desire to stamp-out all forms of criminalities in the country.

Meanwhile, the opening ceremony had in attendance Executive Director-National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Ado Mohammed,  Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Health, Dr Linus Awute and Heads of Nigeria Police Medical Facilities across the country.
