Bayelsa - President Goodluck Jonathan's uncle, who was abducted by gunmen, has been rescued by the anti-kidnapping squad of the Nigerian Police, Vanguard reports.
Chief Inengite Nitabai was abducted on February 23 by gunmen from Otuoke community in Ogbia Local Government of Bayelsa State.
The kidnappers contacted the family of the victim and demanded N500 million for his release, but the family offered to pay N30 million, which the kidnappers rejected. Nitabai was then rescued from his kidnappers.
