Lagos – Parents of three children who were abducted from their home over a week ago were relieved when their children were returned to them despite them having undergone a terrible ordeal, ThisDay reports.
Leke Orekoya and his wife employed a nanny who they connected with online to take care of their children while they were at work but a day after she was employed and before she had completed the documentation process she abducted the children, saying that she was taking them out to get biscuits.
The children, all boys, are between the ages of 11 months and six-years-old. The father later revealed that the abductors put all the children including the 11-month baby in a bag while they were in their care.

The kidnappers contacted the family and demanded a ransom. It is unclear whether the ransom was paid and how much was paid but the kidnappers reportedly told the parents to fetch their children from an undisclosed location on Tuesday night. The parents found all the children naked by alive and they had mosquito bites all over their bodies. They were taken to the hospital for checkups.
The Commissioner of Police warned all other parents looking to employ a nanny or any other personal staff that would have access to their homes to make sure that they contact the police so that thorough background checks can be conducted.
