Lagos - A fire incident at Iyana Ifako area of Lagos State has killed a six-year-old boy and destroyed properties worth millions of naira, Vanguard reports.
The boy was said to have died while asleep with his two elder brothers. The elder brothers escaped the incident after they were rescued by neighbours.
An eyewitness account revealed that the children were locked inside by their parents. So when the fire broke out, the door to their room was forced open. One of the elder brothers sustained a minor injury while the other escaped unscathed.
Men of the Lagos State Fire Service were said to have arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire and remove the burnt body of the boy.
